La Charanga Cubana
Cuban born composer, bassist and musical scholar Edgar Hernández formed this band to highlight a particular chapter of Cuban musical history, when percussionists were inventing new rhythms and creating sounds accessible to the people. With their distinctive use of two flutes, they perform a popular, exciting salsa in a wide variety of rhythms.
